We can arrange great scuba diving for both experienced divers for those who have never dived. Diani boasts some of the best scuba diving anywhere with miles of unspoilt coral
reefs and pure white beaches beside the clear blue waters of the Indian Ocean. If you are an experienced diver and hold a PADI open water diver certificate we can arrange for
equipment and a boat to take you to one of the many dive sites. You get two bottles for €106. If you have never dived before we can arrange for a course involving pool and open
water dives to lead to a PADI Open Water Diver Certificate. Please fill in the dates and the number of people and describe in the box what you would like to do.
I-day Shimba Hills Game Park safari
This is a full day in the Landrover with a driver / guide. You leave Pumzika at sunrise (6 a.m.) and spend a couple of hours exploring this beautiful Shimba Hills Game Park catching the
animals before they bed down in the shade for the day then have a picnic breakfast at the highest point in the Park with a view of the Indian Ocean. John will supply coffee, bacon and
egg sandwiches, fruit etc, then you visit the Sheldrick Falls (2.4 km walk escorted by a Park Ranger) where you can swim. After that you have lunch at the Shimba Hills Lodge (set in
the jungle with enormous monitor lizards and eagles) and then take a walk along the elevated walkway through the forest before an evening game-drive. You get back to Pumzika at
sunset for a sundowner on the balcony. The day costs $120 for the Landrover plus $50 per person for the ranger, KWS park-entrance fees and lunch. Please indicate the date you
would like to do this and the number of people.
Sky Diving Tandem
We have an active sky-diving organisation at Diani. You can make a Tandem Jump with the minimum of preparation and allows you to experience free fall from12,000’ attached to your
instructor over one of the most spectacular drop-zones in the world. Nothing beats this experience, so if you wish to do it select a date and indicate the number of people and we will
arrange it. A tandem jump takes 4 hours, including the pre-jump briefing and the post-jump celebration and costs $400.
The constant trade-winds along the beach at Diani make it an ideal place to learn to kiteboard. There are three kite-centres along the beach about 5 km apart so you can cruise along
the reef to one for lunch then kite home in the afternoon. Or you can explore up the coast and discover the secret kite-spots which others never see. We can arrange for equipment
hire, beginner lessons or refresher courses. A variety of courses are available from a 2-hour private lesson costing $200 to joining a group lesson. Equipment hire to experienced
kiteboarder is also available. Please indicate below when and what you would like to do and we will arrange it for you.
3-day Tsavo Game Park safari
This is a three-day safari by Landrover leaving Pumzika after breakfast and driving to Satao Luxury Tented Camp in East Tsavo for lunch
and staying there on the 1st night. The 2nd day drive to the Lion’s Bluff Tented Camp in West Tsavo for the 2nd night. You will enjoy a
morning and evening game drives at both camps and two memorable dinners under the African stars. The two camps provide
interesting and contrasting scenery, the great East Tsavo plain and the beautiful, rugged Taita Hills. The cost of this safari, including the
Landrover, driver, the two park-entry fees, lodges and meals would be around $2200 for 4 people sharing or $550 each. Single-tent
occupancy would be extra. Please indicate the dates you would like to start and the number of people in your party.
Old town Mombasa Tour
The city of Mombasa has retained a strong Arabic culture having been ruled by Arabia for many hundred years and the Old Town can be a fascinating place to visit. Leave Pumzika
after breakfast you drive to for coffee then have a private guide take you around Fort Jesus and the Old Town. Follow this with a pleasant lunch at one of the harbour-front restaurants
and after a spot of shopping in the historic Arab bazaar return to Pumzika for a sundowner on the balcony which after a day in the heat of Mombasa will probably be quite welcome.
The day costs $200 which includes ferry fees, morning coffee, Fort Jesus tour and your guide. It does not include lunch which leaves you to choose your restaurant and menu.
which covers the Landrover, driver, morning coffee and the tour of
Fort Jesus. It does not cover lunch so you can choose a restaurant
Native boat sailing and fishing and beach picnic This is a great day out for a small party and involves sailing along the beach inside the reef trolling for tuna (or anything else that likes the look of your lure), a swim in a beautiful
garden and a private lunch picnic on the beach arranged by John. The Landrover takes you to Diani where you embark on Ulla - Juma the Sailor’s famous native fishing-boat with it’s
traditional triangular lateen rig. Your cold box contains a selection of soft drinks and and some bubbly (in case you catch a fish!) and after a couple of hours you arrive at the picnic site
where Ian and John will have set up the barbecue and a table under an awning. John will provide all the necessary accompaniments (salad, vegetables, starters, etc.) and a fish (in
case you don't catch one!) and you spend a pleasant afternoon on the beach barbecuing fish, drinking bubbly and swimming before returning to Pumzika at sundowner time. We charge a flat rate of $500 for the day which covers 1 to 4 people and includes Landrover, boat, picnic lunch and drinks. Ideally you want to leave Lymingtons at or near low water so too
please check the tide-table when selecting a date.
Hiking through the wild Mulangaji
For a real African adventure you can don your hiking boots and hike through the Mulangaji Elephant Reserve with a tracker and kenya
Wildlife Park Ranger. The Mulangangi used to be the preserve of the coastal elephant and vast hearts once roamed its planes. Today
sadly, the elephant population has been much depleted and it is unlikely you will see one on your hike. However, you will see some
spectacular scenery and a glimpse of old Africa, what it was like in the old days. The Reserve is 700’ below the house and the walk
down can be rather rugged. The walk ends by the river where you rendezvous with Ian in the Landrover (and possibly with a picnic)
which will then bring your party back to Pumzika, thereby avoiding the long climb back. The day costs $12 each for park-entrance fees
plus $180 for the Landrover, the KWS Ranger and your tracker. Please indicate the number in your proposed party and the date you
would like to do this.
Skydiving - Free Fall
This is for the more adventurous, those who have never parachuted and want to experience a solo free-fall parachute jump from 12,000’. Qualified instructors will give you all the
training you need to enable you to make a free-fall jump on your own. With Diani Skydive’s Accelerated Free Fall Course you can make your first skydive from 12,000 feet
accompanied by, but not attached to, your two instructors. You will make the jump but they will be beside you and connected only by 2-way radio and will guide you throughout the
jump from leaving the plane to landing on the beach. The price for a complete Accelerated Free Fall Course course is $2,600. Indicate the date you would like to start and we will
arrange it for you.
